Rainforest Protection
In Jungle Eco Reserve we protect 30 hectares (75 acres) of rainforest.
It is a critical habitat on Lake Gatun adjacent to the National Sovereignty Park.
The flora and fauna are incredible. We have one of the last remaining Ceiba trees in Panama.
It is home of the blue morpho, the national butterfly.
An estimated 200 species of birds live on the property or use it as essential migration path.
A wide variety of amphibians, reptiles and mammals (including the two species of sloth) depend on the area.
Our goal is to preserve this spectacular rainforest for our children, grandchildren and future generations.
